Well, I hit 110mph in the eclipse finally so it gets axles now. emoji I can't decide if it's worth $1600 for the Stage 5 setup from DSS, or if I could get away with the stage 2 setup that is rated for 400 hp. I'm already making around 400hp i'm guessing. If I'm not now I will be after this winters round of work is done. So, being a turbo car it's not really going to make that much power off the line, or when I warm up the tires. It needs more load to build boost, I can't imagine it will EVER make more than 400hp at a point where the most stress is placed on the half shafts. But at the same time I don't want to buy axles twice, that's a waste. If this were a NA car making big power it would make since to get a 700hp setup, but being turbo I just can't fathom that.

How hard do you launch? IMO If your not doing boosted launches and your wheel hop is not that bad then you dont need stage 5 axles.
A better way of looking at it is, how much do you want to pay for a safe feeling?

I dont have Near the HP levels you do and no aftermarket axles so Im just stating my opinion. Besides how many members here actually NEED them?

I personally am going to wait till I snap SOME till I upgrade.

edit: oh yeah, I remembered you have slicks. Im sure you know that plays a huge role too.

Yeah, were talking about wrinkle wall slicks with the studder box set at 4.5k. emoji

See thats what I was talking about. The studder box (boosted launches IMO) and slicks will put a heck of a lot of stress on them.

I know the turbo takes a while to spool, but never the less you are putting more stress on them.

Yeah I know, but not 400hp worth of stress! emoji My stupid turbo is so big I can't build any boost at the line anyways. Mabye 2 psi, yay.

I don't think they make stage 3's anymore. I heard they were discontinued and they only show stage 2 or stage 5 on the web site. emoji

For now I'd say go with the DSS Level 2's, unless for some reason DSS.com is still making them like they made my driver's side axle...

I think that's what I'm gonna do. It's not like I'm gonna make 400+ hp after the trans at the line. emoji Plus I'm poor emoji

They do make new stage 3 ones with hubs. I have them. btw, they rate them on whp not crank hp. stage 3 rated 500whp. With your suspensiaon setup, the turbo you have, plus the fact you say you'll run slicks, just get the 3.
