When I put the car in reverse and start to back up slow the whole front end shakes violently like the tranny and engine are going to fly out. What could be causeing this?

When I broke the brace that connects the tranny to the rear engine mount, my car used to vibrate quite a bit when going in reverse. Check that out. I know that those braces have been known to go bad. I have been through 3 of them.
