No. u don't. plug your ears and be ready to break da sound barrier by redline.

Having Problems? Heres my Three step solution to anything 2gnt related.
Step 1: Put down everything in your hands.
Step 2: Grab a lucky strike, Smoke it.
Step 3: Walk to the fridge, double fist some keystone ice, sit down in the shade, drink one beer, finish cigarette, drink other beer, roll a joint, smoke it, walk back to your problem, and in about 5 minutes the solution will come to you.
If not. Go here: here

If still nothing, your trying to hard. Start over at step 1.

Hmmm, well this is an interesting thread. What is the difference/advantage to a 2002 Neon tranny over the NVT350? I'm curious.

yeah, their gears are all taller. our t350's have a 3.94 final drive, vs the sohc neon 3.55. helps those high hp peeps from making slicks out of their tires through 1st and 2nd.

it doesn't appear that you have to swap bell housing. it looks identical except for where the shifter linkages are. the bracket for those will have to be swapped. ill see when it comes time to bolt it on.

Will the speedo now be off or is it referenced from something other than RPM?

Speedo will be correct. it's not generated off engine RPM, but by a gear on the diff. Changing any ratio before the diff will result in the correct reading off the diff as far as speed goes.

Yes, the 2002 will bolt right up, the 2G Neons use a T350 with a hydralic clutch setup just like we do. Might still need to use the 2GNT shift select levers.

ok.. well this is what we had to do.

I have a phatom grip in my differential, and the ring gear which the diff is bolted to doesn't fit in the neon tranny. so.. I had to take my diff off the eclipse ring gear, and bolt it onto the neon ring gear. worked like a charm.

check out my post in turbo disc about whp and a video.

the car definetly drives different. thats all i have to say right now about it.. ill make a video this weekend.

yeah, you have to use the Neon ring gear as that's part of the final drive ratio.

it's fucking awesome, isn't it?
