I braced the engine with a jackstand (blocks of wood to prevent damage) and a jack to lower the trans. you can move it yourself it only weights 80lbs. Do a search this has been covered more times than the AFC install!
You can drop the trans as long as you have good tools in a matter of couple 3 hours your first time....assuming you have basic mech knowledge. I had mine down in 2 hours..but i did that for a living

it took us a while to do mine. i called up mitsu and they said our tranny is 150 lbs. i carried it around like it was no problem, but the next day my back killed me!!
