#2917, "Several Transmission Questions..."


          

Im new to transmissions and im confused so I have a few questions. I have a 98 5 speed Eagle Talon, is my transmission a NV-T350? Are the eclipse and talon transmissions the same? I need to replace my transmission lube and after doing alot of searching I discovered it is very picky about the lube it takes. Since I dont know who makes the transmission, I dont know wheather to go to the Chrylser dealer or the Mistu dealer for the lube. I dont want to put some cheap stuff in it and have to replace the tranny. What is the exact kind of transmission fluid I should get from the dealer? I would like to run synthetic if possible. I live in Ohio so keep in mind the cold winters. I did do alot of searching for these questions but every topic had mixed answers for the questions. Thanks in advance for your help. -Brian

Alot of the people are running the Mopar stuff available from Satan. I plan on doing the same when it comes time to take a look at it.

i goto mitsubishi for my tranny lube. and it seems i go there alot for it. its 12.50 a quart down here. and its mitsubishi part stuff also says nv-t350 on it.
