#2900, "clutch chatter question"

I've been experiencing clutch chatter (bad vibration when slipping clutch) for a good while now, especially in the mornings while warming up the car. Most of the time it goes away quickly, but after driving for 20 minutes or more, it seems to get bad again. It is most notably bad while starting on a hill in 1st gear. So for now, i've been trying not to slip the clutch as much, im worried about breaking a motor mount; but would you think my clutch is about die on me? btw it's a 97RS with 110,000 miles. I've found some other posts on this topic, and I am going to bleed the clutch soon, but always nice to get some more opinions, Thanks guys!

What clutch do you have?

I have chatter in first, spec stage 3, but it seems to be commonplace with this clutch. at least according to others here w/ the same clutch

Hey..I was reading about clutches on "How Stuff Works.com" and I saw this...thought it might help you with your problem...

"Another problem sometimes associated with clutches is a worn throwout bearing. This problem is often characterized by a rumbling noise whenever the clutch engages."

Sounds like what you might be expierencing...something to look into, no?

Good luck and quick fixin...
