I never tried it, never will because I am a pussy, LOL. Seriously now, is it possible to shift at 8k RPM without grinding? I am thinking of upgrading to a S25G and I want to take full advantage of it. Thanks

actually the head is capable of hanging with a 8K redline. the stock lifters, springs, etc dont have little oil gally's so they dry up at higher rpm's but guess what....pt cruiser head components have the oil gally's and are a common upgrade. i wouldnt do it unless you knew what you were doing though. p.s- wtf do you need a 25g for?! do you plan running 10's? 11's? if not then there is no real point.
edit: forgot to mention fuel cut is 7250, so have fun with that. _________ 96 talon esi-t san clemente, ca

LOL, fuel cut, damn! I have pt cruiser lashers/adjusters, etc. Crower springs and Ti retainers, crane 16 cams and P&P head
The 25g is because HRC does not have the 20g-H I need. They will have some in about a month, I cannot wait that long. So the 25g will do the job just fine, with the added potential of more power with fuel a fuel upgrades.
There is a thread on the turbo section about why I want the 25g. Care to comment?

yes with the howell ECU 8200 is what its set for, but watch out for the timing advance, which is a good thing if you can tune for it. or have something to pull it back out

But he's asking about the trans.
In a word, yes. If you have plenty of paper on the syncros (or good brass for 1&2) you should be able to slow the gears down enough for the syncro to do its job effectivly. Failing that, use a 3speed automatic and let it worry about it.
