#1280, "transmission feels weird what could be up?"

here's the story, I had just replaced my power steering pump, adjusted my cam gears and tied up some loose wires. I went and took it for a test drive and when i really got on it at a red lite. I shifted first, second, third and when i went to forth it stuck. I pulled over to the side of the road becuase i could not get it in gear. Open the hood and had my buddie push the pedels and move the stick. all we could get it in was barley 3rd gear and somewhere out of third/nuetral but not all the way into nuetral. Got it home by driving it in third gear and burning the clutch just at tad to get it from a dead stop. When i got home i looked up other posts and said maybe my master or slave cylinder needed some pumping. I did that and was able to pull the gear into nuetral with a little force. now i can sift every gear without problems but i'm kind of worried. The stick shift feels really loose when shifting gears. It used to take a little umph to get it in gear. now it seams it slides right in with no effort. The clutch grabs great in every gear, it has a little slip at first but i think that has to do with the heat/pressure i put on when i was driving home. My question is something wrong with my trans, i don't have that feel of locking into the gears when i shift. It just slids in and out easyily when pushing on the clutch. But when it's running and in gear it feels like a solid grab but still slides out easily. Please let me know your thoughts.

after messing with it i was able to the gears working. Everything looks good on the linkage and transmission. I have noticed that my shifts from gear to gear are alot smoother (like hot knife through butter feel.) so far no problems since saterday when i had the problems. Maybe i just got lucky and didn't break anything this time emoji
