its not for my car mind you. my friend has a 95 rs and i dunno what the hell happened but he has a hole the size of a grapefruit in his tranny housing. the car is in pretty crappy condition but he wants to know about how much a tranny + install will run him cuz if its too much he is just gonna part it out. throw out some numbers for me. TIA!

Last trans i bought was $300. Install was free, because i did it myself just like he should.

Were did you find one for $300? I've bought 2 both over $500.

ive missed over 8 tranny sells on neons.org for under 300$ for 3.55's im getting slightly agrivated at not being able to catch them...

I think someone said a rebuilt NV-T350 from Forward Motion Inc. was about $500. As for installation, I dunno what a shop would charge, but when I get my car ready I'm gonna be doing the engine and tranny install (maybe with the help of some people in my area, that's still a ways off though).

all the trannies (in good working order) I have found at salvage yards are in teh $700 to $850 range.

-97 GS (First project, 299 whp)(sold)
- 97 RS 2.6 last numbers: 306hp, 352tq @16psi (Dead, parted out)
- 99 GS OZ, Hahn Kit, 56k miles (Sold)
