#565, "reverse switch, where?"

my reverse lights don't work, bulbs are good because how possible is it that both would go out at the same time? fuse is a-ok. so i'm thinking switch on the trans, but where is it?

oh yeah, i took my battery out before (i don't trust mechanics and i double checked their work, waaaayyy different story, yeah they fucked up)... buy anywho, i put the battery back in, and my reverse lights worked!!! now they don't again.

help please

Seems to be a common problem, I replaced mine not too long ago. It's on the top of the trans in front of the battery tray to the left of the ECU.

it's just that plug thing? i thought it would be a physical switch sitting on top, my bad. but why would it work after removing/reinstalling my battery?

It may be possible that you nocked the connection loose in moving the battery around, check that first, but otherwise it's just good timing.

hmmm... i went out to my car the other day and messed with the wires, just wiggling them around, and the lights still don't work. oh well, i'm gonna wait till i get home, only a week and a half left of school, and order a switch from a dealer... damnit... i hate supporting dealers on the behalf of a broken part.
