It makes a slight grinding noise sometimes when I first start from a stop in first gear. It doesn't do it between gears or when I am driving, just when I first start out in first. Is it the TOB? If so, is this something I need to worry about? TI

I'm not sure man. It might be a synchro getting ready to screw you over? I had a buddy in KS who's car would just pop out of 1st almost all the time. When he'd go through the drive through, he'd have to physically hold it in 1st or it would pop out on him. Sucked.

Bump!

is it a chatter noise, or a grinding noise? It's likely just the TOB, but if it starts to get worse quick, worry.

It's a slight grinding noise and it doesn't do it all that often. I was told that if it was the tob that i can just wait to replace it with my clutch with out any worries. Is this true?
