#53, "Automatic trany shift kit?"

i know someone makes a shift kit for automatics for our cars. but everytime i think i find one i just get further away from finding my answer. i know they make them for chevys and fords, but i cant find one for the eclipse. i'm also getting a tq converter but shift kit is first. and if no luck with the kit, than i'm just gonna have to transform it into a manual....fun.

I haven't found one like chevs and fords for our cars (if what you mean is one that just plugs into the wiring and crispens the shifts). what are you trying to get the trans to do? if you just want firmer shifts, the best you can do is to get a TransGo kit installed. if you want full control of your shifting, I don't beleive anything is available for the A604.

Does anyone know out there if that 3-speed neon trans has the ability for you to control your shifting? if so THAT may be an option. I know that the neon 3-speed is not computer controlled like ours.

All the shift kit does is replace certain balls and springs within the valve body. You also need to dremel one of the holes a lil bit wider for more flow. When you do all those things the shifts become harder and much quicker. It wont add HP but it will give you the oppurtunity to put what power you have to the ground. Our transmissions SUCK....so anything helps.

Wikki -- hit me up on AOL = brohymn411 my tranny is leaking major fluid and need some advice on where it could leak so bad at! thanks
