this is what i did, i smashed the brake and held it, smashed the the gas, let go of the brake, 0-60 7.4 seconds, started the clock as soon as i started to let off the brake, stoped the clock approx 62mph, :/
i also have a full exhaust system, <evo exhaust>, CAI w/ k&n air filter, 9mm wires, bosh 4+ plugs, Air chip, strut bar, breather, and running on cheap fuel 87 octane < should be running 91>

7.4 is faster than the manual tranny (accordin to the specs on 2gnt page), how is that?
I have CAI and gst cat back, + a liter of LUCAS becouse the car makes some smoke, but I'm doing 10.5 I will make a complete tune up and test again, what do you recomend?

the stock eclipse with a manual trany does 0 - 60 in 9 seconds according to the specs. And the manual trany eclipse is faster than the a/t, and the turbo one whit manual does 6.8 seconds, how can a almost stock automatic non turbo eclipse do 0 - 60 in 7.4 seconds?

1) Torque-brake launching makes no improvement in your launch. I have proven this on the track, with slips. Torque braking DOES ruin your transmission by overheating it eventually. Only attempt it if you have an upgraded high-stall torque convertor!

2) 7.4 seconds is obviously a timing error. Either your speedo is way out of calibration, or your stopwatch finger is off by about a full second. Most ATX's have an 8-9 sec 0-60 imo.

Is it possible that Rough is running on undersized tires and so the speedometer is reading faster than reality?

Yeah, 10 to 11 seconds 0-60 is what I get. Zero mods=zero speed!
Use G-tech or something similar, don't waste your time with stop watches.

7 years later, I still stand by my 7.4 0-60. I did find out the later that the car was tuned and had forged internals, and a non factory cam. Guess PO was going to turbo it.

I have a second dsm now 98 GS, and it takes around 9 seconds for 0-60 so I can see why so many doubts.
