well my dads 95 talon had a tranny cooler in the radiator but it broke so we have a new radiator and it doesnt have a tranny cooler. can i just link the hoses together and not worry about it or is the trans cooler vital on these cars?

91 civic hatch, homemade turbo+ LS motor = 12 sec street car.

I wouldn't risk running without one. I have the stock one and then I'm running an extra. One of the first Automatic Tranny mods should be a new cooler. So it would be best to get an aftermarket one.

Heat will kill the tranny faster than anything.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Or maybe someone wants to stress that he needs a cooler more than I did.

You NEED at least a stock tranny cooler. Don't know when your tranny will die without a stock unit, but it's their for a reason. I'd get at least an external one, and maybe run some type of cooler with the coolant.

If your not running the stock unit at all, you must run a tranny cooler and I would HIGHLY suggest one with a fan and as big as possible.

there is alot of cooling power in the stock unit, enough that running just an aftermarket 3 pass standard cooler would not be enough IMO

1998 dodge avenger 4 cyl AT
Mods are:
Not enough
