Alright, so hopefully today I can get my drivers axle switched. Now, what's getting me right now is the tranny fluid. Hopefully I can switch the axles with minimal fluid coming out. But if too much comes out I'll need to refill. So... I essentially can't just top off the fluid due to the fact that I don't know what's in there to start with. Mixing fluids is a no-no right? And so I would need to drain & refill if too much came out correct? And based off of my searches for fluids, some dealerships say to go with Mopar, some say other brands. It seems like everyone on the forum also has their opinion on what to use, so what the hell!
My car's driven only in the summer/fall & I put maybe 2,000 miles a year on it at most. Wouldn't a heavier weight fluid work?

if you are unsure just go to a dodge/Jeep dealer and ask for Mopar 7176. That shoudl solve all your questions and doubts. Plus you will seep better at night and not wonder....

/\/\/\/\ what he said! i use strait up ammco +3 and shit its only 2.30$ per qt..... never had any probs. infact check this out when my trans took a shit..(multiple clutches fried down to steel rings) my fluid didnt burn.... interesting huh? its the only fluid ill use now
