I've noticed that quite a few people have a problem with the car lurching forward when coming to a stop (in an ATX, duh), like it's having a problem downshifting or grabbing. Mine feels like the convertor all the sudden letting go, or slipping, almost like the brakes are really bad, but they've just been replaced, and occasionaly from a stop, the engine will rev up when I hit the gas, before slamming into gear and jerking the car forward. Have we found a solution for this, is it the Torque Convertor going or something else in the tranny? What would be the exact symptoms of a Torque Convertor going out? Thanks guys, been bothering me for a while.

its pretty normal IMO, the tranny sometimes takes a little longer to get into the correct idle gear (1st) if you brake fast. basically you brake and stop and the tranny is still shifting back to 1st. for lack of a better description

that kinda sucks, is there anyway to get this fixed short of tearing through the tranny and doing something inside it? Or could this be related to the TCU? If I could make this go away that'd be great, it's a really hard hit sometimes.

Its TCU related IMO, I think its just sometimes the tranny likes to heat the shit out of itself and keep the tranny repairs coming its like it doesnt like to unlock the TQ. Maybe just try a fluid flush first, mine does it sometimes, like 1 time a month. but just cause Ive been driving like a high schooler with a honda that day..

Mine does it every day, I'm almost not sure if it's tranny or brakes, it just seems a lot like tranny. The weird thing is it doesn't do it when my girlfriend takes my car, Im not sure why because I know I don't drive it too much harder then her, but it seems like it only does it when Im driving. Maybe my car hates me.

Mine never does that as far as I can remember. Except for the time my hoses leaked from the tranny to the cooler. Other than that havent had that problem at all. I would check the fluid level. Then again Ive had most of the transmission mods for 2years or so and I cant remember what stock was like.
