Ok, I've searched and couldn't find an answer for my problem. If it was posted and I missed it I apologize. Anyway on to my problem, about a month and a half ago I took out my radiator to fix a problem it had. I went to drive my car but it wouldn't start, I need to buy a new battery. Anyway I haven't had the money or time to go buy another battery so my car has been sitting in front of my house for about a month and half. I haven't turned it on or even gone in it in that time period. Anyway about 2 - 3 weeks ago I noticed my car started leaking what looks like transmission fluid. I don't know why it just started leaking out of no where if I hadn't been using the car. I was thinking the leak might be coming from the lines that run to the radiator but i haven't had time to check. I dont' think that's the problem though cause I've notice the leak is coming from somewhere farther back, around the vicinity where the engine is located. Any idea as to what might be causing the leak? Any input is greatly appreciated. TIA

is it trans fluid? yes it is possible it could leak from the lower section of the radiator, as its used as a trans oil cooler. otherwise man a leak could come from just about anywhere in our cars. mine leaked just a tad from around the trans pan till i got a re-useable gasket.

Thanx for your help but it turns out it was engine oil that was leaking. Looks like I have a leak in my main engine seal, which'll be too damn expensive to fix so imma just donate my car now. Get me something new.

The rear main seal is about $10. It would cost as much to fix as the labor on a clutch replacement. Drop the transmission, rip the old seal out, pound the new seal in, install transmission. I don't think thats bad enough to donate the car over. On second thought, donate it to me. Hell, I'd even give you a few hundred bucks for your time.
