am yet to install it though.

a lot of that stuff you dont have to install. its more just boring out a few holes, and replacing a spring or 2.

this link should help you out a bit.

WooHoo!
Thats it man. Did you get a trans pan drain plug yet you are gonna love pulling the pan. just say #$%#% before hand and get it over with. lol

you are installing this yourself right? if you are, let me know. I didn't have the right kit when I went to install mine (I had a translab kit for the turbo cars), but I had the valve body out, and got familiar with it. I may have a few tips for ya.

peace

To get that pan off: Take the right plug that looks like a tooth or a tear (97-99) out of your front bumper... Take a peice of long wood that will fit through the hole, place it on the tranny pan and pound away from the front, Be carefull not to bend. Then go to the then sides if you can and it'll come off in no time, Thats what I do. I change my fluid alot.

What the heck. I just unbolt it and down it goes. No banging with wood here. why would u want to drain the fluid without droping the pan, (drian plug), cause how can u change the filter? I was thinking the shift kit was all one piece. U just drop the old valvebody and pop in the new one, darn all the extra work. What do u think the difference is with shift kit and drive gear mod. Besides huge. Compare to 5 speed.

Why the hell would I wanna go through all that when I can unscrew a bolt. You don't take off your oil pan to drain the oil I hope.
I'm adding a remote mount mounted filter in my engine bay so I get better filtration than the srceen filter in the tranny and also makes it alot easier to change.

Hey can you tell me where to get one of those shift kits and how much do they cost and if they are so hard to install do you think a tranny shop will install it and if so how much should it cost thanks.

Looking for 1999 RS automatic performance upgrades.

shift kit is 17.99 from Transgo part # K72908J. From what I understand its a fairly easy process, except for trying to get everyhthing put back together in from under the car. Im gonna try doing mine while the tranny is out latter this month, along with a higher stall TC, final drive gears, and transmision cooler.

---Harry. My car topped out at 140 this morning. I need "turvo." Two of 'em. And Harry, I need the glue to be dry by tonight.---
