Well i havent had my car but 2 weeks and it doesnt work. It wont shift into 2nd gear. it stays in first. Luckily i dont really drive highway too much. but id like to drive faster than 35mph. Also, the speedometer, odometer, and trip meter wont work at all. Has anyone else had this problem? If so please let me know... please

definitely the output, and likely the input as well. they like to go out in pairs.


also...are you sure its in 1st? ill betcha a beer its in 2nd
its in limp mode, which means it just stays in 2nd gear until the problem is fixed. that makes it able for you to "limp it in" to the dealership to get fixed.

if it stayed in 1st, you woulbd be right up near redline at 35mph.

It may be in second. the speedometer didnt work so i dont know how fast i was going. i was following my friend and he said he didnt go faster than 40mph. I hope its not to hard to fix. or too expensive

It is definately the output sensor and your car is in 2nd gear. The tranny is designed to automatically drop into second to prevent damage to the trans. You dont have to replace both sensors but they will as stated above likely go out around the same time. The sensor should cost you around $35 and itll take about ten minutes to replace. It basically looks like a plastic spark plug. So if you can change your plugs you can change the sensor. Good luck bro if you have any questions just post.
