I have a 95 eclipse and when u put the car in drive it makes a weird winding noise. Same happens when I put it into reverse. Also as I am coming to a stop it starts that winding noise again, it must be when it is reducing gears. Is this normal or is there something wrong with my car. Is there anyway to stop this annoying noise? emoji Thanks

All the A604 tranny's make a mechanical clicking as they switch from P to R or D (or come to a stop). Its nothing to worry about.

Yep its the solenoids working, there is a safety measure in our trannies that requires a special energizing of the solenoids in a special pattern to allow it to get into 1st
