yeah i don't race but i wanted to practice lauching(step on brake, rev below 2500 then go) to see a difference in power.

any na auto here launch at that rpm, and do you guys spin your tires. I did't do a burn out but tires definitely are slipping–which i could never have done when i was na–i think anyway).

so can you guys spin your tires a little under 2500. i know i could probably hold the brakes till 3000 or 3500, but i am not here to kill my tranny!

dont break torque. its really bad for our tranny and wont build boost in a 420.

when ur stopped, just press the gas in about 1/2 way and at about 3500 rpms mash it all the way down. doing that makes ur ignition happy. theres a post in this forum somewhere about this.

Agreed, my ATX is much worse off for wear from brake torquing while N/A.

I did a series of (turbo'd) brake-torque vs. not and final drive vs. stock at a local 1/8 mile track a couple months ago. I have the slips and datalogs if anyone really needs them badly.

Verdict:
Brake torquing = .1-.5 sec slower
Final drive mod = .1 sec faster
1/8 mile racing in an ATX turbo 2gnt = suck

Power braking builds too much heat. And if your non intercooled you don't want that. If your looking for better launches look at the tq converter post currently up Soul(he's the ma emoji)put up some good info.
