I'm trying to figure out some cheap but good mods and want the final drive mod. My dad thought htat if I change the final drive it will mess w/ the speedometer. If so will I be able to change the speed sensor or gear out too? just want to know before doing anything

shame on you
you should be doing a search....there are tons of posts about it.
Your speedo will be off by about 6%. it will show 6% faster.
after you search the archives, you'll probably find posts about how you can bring it to a dealership where they can scan it and correct it with some tool thing i forgot the name of. the pinion angle should be set to : 225*50*15 for 16/17 inch rims
