#142, "What's your 1/4 ?"

Alright.. I know this question has been driven into the ground, but I'm tired of speculation and estimation..

What do you AUTO TRANNY guys run in the 1/4 ?

Is it truly as bad as 17+?

Maybe its just me... not wanting to face the facts. Or maybe I have some hope for my car. I pray that someone gives me a reason to drop money into modding this car, that its not a lost cause. And, just to clarify, I'm not asking about the times with turbo kits. I'm a college kid = poor.

Is 15's possible with ATX ?

you should be looking at 17s...before i learned how to drive mine i ran an embarassing 18.0. i think i can click off a mid-low 17 now. and even better when i boost.

I guess I'm definitley going to have to focus on other things besides speed.

At least the girls still like it! And it could be worse... I could be driving a honda...

If you are turboed and around Stage 2 you should be getting in to the 15's

Exactly, you hit 15's. Had you run 8 psi you may have run a 15.5 or so. Also depends on the weather. Stage 3 trim and 14's and faster should be happening.

how about this. stage 2 @ 6 psi is high 15's. add on final drive mod and now it's mid 15's. then add the udp, and it's low 15's. get an s-afc and have it tuned, and now you bust 14's. that sounds pretty good to me.

rebuild. when i get my turbo kit, i'm only doing to do like 4-5 psi. if i do rebuild, then i'll also upgrade the injectors and sfmu. i already got a msd ignition to retard the ignition and a s-afc to fine tune the fuel map. so all i need is a stage two kit and a bottom end kit and i got 12-15 psi!!!!

a 16.7? Where do you live? I live in sunny southern Cali and was wondering if my my runs would be faster in this weather than say in other places. I'm still new and dont know much about racing. I was wondering if it would be possible for me to also run quarter miles in under 17 secs here with a GST exhaust and Injen Cai considering that I live in warm sunny weather and am at sea level elevation.

Why are you running such a low stall TQ???
Thats even further away from our power band.
Thats your problem, you need a 2800RPM or higher (but really anyting over 2800 is not to streetable (its okay but not ideal for daily driving but if your strictly drag then go 3000rpm even more.

I just ran a 17.12 today with only cold air intake. Hmmm, today on my launch it kept on peelin out which i think slowed down my time kinda a lot. What am i doin wrong? I usually rev up to about 2100 rpm when power braking (it use to go up to 3000 but now for some reason it stops at 2100, could it be cuz of the CAI?). Dont I just let go of brake to do a launch? Someone please help me with this because I really wanna be able to do high 16's.
