I wouldn't try it if I were you guys. We took measurements of the A604 trans differential. We didn't wanna take the chance of messing up a LSD conversion to see if it MIGHT work.

AS A SIDE NOTE

Our diffs are VERY EASY to get to. I didn't remove it by myself but the shop buy told me that all I had to do was remove the side cover and the bolts around were the axles go into.

I'm going to be workin with a few friends to make a LSD conversion available for our cars.

I'll keep you guys posted if you come up with anything.

Yup, dunno where that came from that it couldnt be done. The diffs from our cars and the MTs are the same right? They have all kinds of mods they can do to their cars...so we should too.

Dude, read the post. I compared my diff with the neon diff. They are DIFFERENT. CLOSE BUT DIFFERENT.

We took measurements and they are close but it would be a tight squeeze to fit the LSD conversion in the auto diff.

My friend and I might try to develope a LSD conversion for the auto trans once I get another diff to tinker with.

I need my car up and running so we put mine back in already.

"Dude, read the post."

Umm...you didnt say anything about the Neon diff. Im pretty sure that differential would be different. I said hte ATX and MTX shared the same diff, not the Neon and ours. I thought the Neon tranny was a 3spd anyway.

I dont think they have the A604 either, otherwise you'd be wasting your time making an LSD conversion for a car that already has that option available.

Be more clear on what exactly you're trying to do. Sounds like you're trying to make an LSD for the Eclipse tranny? Not really sure what you mean.

I don't think the neons use the A604 either. I've been waiting so long to hear the results from you when you put that thing in. Don't give up dude, cause I still don't have the balls to try it. emoji

the neon I compared it to was an MTX. That diff is the same as the manual eclipse trans.

I'll see what I can do. Right now I need to get my car running agian before I try messin with the trans agian.

quaife makes a lsd for the manual tranny and the same diff will also fit a auto. Auto and Manual eclipse use same diff.

Well I got my NewSkool LSD last week. The tranny is going in Thursday afternoon to get done. Full rebuild, high stall convertor, and LSD install. The guy told me it should only take him 2 days to do it. He's a chrysler tranny mechanic and does "cash" trannys on the side. I talked to him and he said he'll look at it and let me know. So I'll probably have a post for you guys early next week. Damn holidays!

Well it fits! The NewSkool LSD works (well fits) in our A604 trannys. I just got mine back last night from the tranny guy. I need to finish the engine and reinstall everything before I street test it. I also went with a 2600-2800 stall convertor.

LSD from www.newskoolracing.com =$159
Torque convertor from www.exileracing.com =$330 with a $50 core charge. So it runs $380 till they get your old torque convertor.

I should have the car running this weekend and I'll let you guys know. Babyeclipse said he didn't know if it would fit. Well I know it fits for sure. It's in my tranny right now. I just need the engine to get finished.

Well I finally got the car running. Yes the LSD from Newskool does work! It works really well. I forgot I put in a high stall convertor and left posi marks in the garage. OOPS. What the hell though. The only thing I can see wrong is you get a hell of alot of torque steer. Very noticeable between first and second gear shifts. That's also when the turbo is really spooled up also. So it works if anyone wanted to know.
