I have given some thought to the 2GNT meeting which will take place at the shootout. I have placed in the poll the time and place I think is the best compromise for the whole group (I will explain my reasons below), and other choices if you think the time and place I thought of does not work.


The date, time, and place I think is the best choice for the 2GNT meeting is Saturday, July 19th from 8:00PM to 10:00PM. Here is why:


For the meeting place, I think the Best Western is the best place to meet. Most of us here will be staying at the Best Western, and it is not far from anyone else, so it is the logical choice. I gave some thought to a dinner meeting, but I want everyone to have a chance to talk to everyone else, and that will be tough in a restruant with 20+ people. Besides, I think most people would appreciate drinking a few beers as a group

For the day of the meeting, I think Saturday will be the best choice. Everyone might not be around on Friday night, so I don't think Friday will be ideal. Sunday night will be after the whole weekend is all said and done, and some people might take off so I don't think that is ideal either. On Saturday night we can be sure EVERYONE will be there! (Which is the point of the meeting!) Also, it gives us a chance to get everyone and everything organized for the shootout the next day. It doesn't have to be the whole night (since people will have to get some sleep for the shootout, and everyone will probably want to spend time hanging around with other DSMers), but can be if you want.

For the time of the meeting, I think 8:00PM to 10:00PM would be good. That will give everyone enough time to eat before hand, and enough time afterwards to hang out with other DSM owners, drink elsewhere, work on cars, get some sleep, or whatever else you want/need to do. Is this too long/not long enough/at the wrong time? Let us all know what you think!

Does this sound good? Remember, while I think the first choice in the poll is the best choice for the meeting, we want EVERYONE (or as many as possible) to be able to go, and we as a group should decide on when/where it should be. This isn't about when ol' VX100 can make it ya know, it's about every 2GNT member who makes it out there.

Please vote in the poll if you are going! And if you have any other suggestions or any problems with this time/date, please vote appropriately and ALSO reply to the poll with suggestions.

If needed (if alot of people want to meet at a different time/date/place) we will have a follow up poll with different options to make the final decision.

There will probably be a lot of people out that night. I think it'd be cool to gather at BW, then drive all to a big parking lot. There'll probably be a huge amount of people out... (The other hundreds of DSM's)

But Saturday is Definately the night to get together.

A side note.

When there do your best to display a level of professionalism as a lot of you are first timers. Last year a lot of people were upset by whom knows that was causing general immature mischief. I would hope for the 2gnt group to not get a bad name. I think Todd and Jeff would know more about what I am referring to.
