#8569, "D1 Grand Prix @ Irwindale Speedway August 31st"
ok don't know if ne1 is interested here but on August 31st the first D1 Grand prix drift competition will take place on US soil. Proffessional drifters from Japan will be battling it out on US soil for points in the D1 Grand Prix Championship. You will get to see stuff like 500 HP cars getting sideways at insane speeds. You'll get to see drift battles too. Also Keichi Tsuchiya the "Drift King" will be there plus Orido Manabu to host the event.
There's also going to be a carshow too but go figure I have no clue what drifting and a carshow has in common two totally different things.
Some popular drivers in the competition will be: Yoshinori Koguchi - 180SX Ken Nomura - R34 Coupe Nobuteru Tanaguchi - S15 Ueno Takahiro (I think thats his name) - AE86 and a whole bunch more
admission is $20 don't miss this, this is a pretty rare opportunity!

yeah I think I might be going. I'm probably just going to go with a buncha friends and rent a car so no 2GNT , the RS still have some oil burning issues also.
The event is gonna be huge so haha I think its gonna be kinda hard to meet up. I'm gonna be using my camcorder most of the time also can't miss this chance hehe. but I'll be sure and keep an eye out for you guys.

The show is in a little over a week. It's on Labor Day weekend...who else can make it? Any ideas on where to meet up near by? Maybe get some lunch before hand?
