A friend of mine is stepping up to the plate and is organizing an official spectator area on stage for this rally, held in February, in and around Patrick and Cheraw, South Carolina.
Currently planning to have food and drink (beer) vendors on hand to ensure that rally spectators are well taken care of while they are watching some of the finest rally action in the southeast.
The sandblastrally.com/2007/ is scheduled to go live on December 1st, but I bring the news of the spectator area to you guys first.
I've checked the 2GNT map and don't see many people in the area, but if you're interested in checking out some rally, be it to volunteer to work the rally, crew for a team, or just plain old spectate, it's always good to know about stuff like this in advance.
Sandblast is one of the cornerstones of the NASA Rally Sport calendar and one of the first rallies of the year, so teams should be doing their best to jump out to the front of the pack at this event.
If anyone needs any more information, please check the Sandblast site or contact me, directly. I'll get you in touch with people working and running in the rally.

Good to see a reply! It's not until February, bro. More than likely, it will be on a weekend, too, so there's plenty of time to get some fellas together to go check it out. Who knows, maybe you'll end up being VIPs or something.

Hmm. Two dsm's and they both plowed the corner. Looked to come in(through the straight away in the woods) OK. I wonder if there is a weight balance situation on the dsm's? Man, I love the dirt! Just can't afford it.
