Thought this might help someone: okok... I may not be exactly correct, but it is roughly around 175. read and learn... I decided i don't want anything on or in my car that is not needed to maintain good working condition. Some are a bit obviuos, but others may not have been thought of. BTW, most of these things you can do right before you leave for the track(not very time consuming).
*Of course the rear seats were the first to go. *The spare, jack, and other tools in trunk are gone. *The passenger seat is gone most of the time(until i take someone somewhere), but i don't drive much(I live on campus). *The seat belts and all parts associated with them were about 12lbs(back seat and passenger). *The stock 6 by 8's?- whatever they are; those had to go. *The small muffler that comes after the cat was removed(hence the name cat-back), plus a lighter weight muffler and piping. I don't know what to expect from that, but i'm guessing around 20 to 25lbs considering my stock muffler alone is 15lbs heavier than the aftermarket one. *The wiper fluid and the bottles were removed(front and back), at least 25lbs. They were very easily removed. *The fact that at no time does my car have more than 1/8 tank of gas in it(once again, i don't drive much, and when i do, it's to race or go to mcdonalds). This may seem a bit childish, but if i were to go weigh my car at any given time, I'm sure i'd be under 2,700lbs. *haha- I only weigh in at 145Lbs LOL... BTW, EVERYTHING i've taken off has been kept. This is what i've done so far. This weekend I'm gonna open up the doors to see what i can find. Hope this inspires! Later, K
