#4273, "how did i do in the 1/4??"

hey, i was just wondering if the time i got on the 1/4 was good. i have a 97 rs with an ebay intake and a airmass cat-back exhaust. the only thing i took out was my backseat(and i dont have a spare tire either). i was happy with my time that day because i ran a 16.7 stock(2 days after i bought it) and my r/t was averaging .022-.024 my best time is shown below

r/t- .139
60'- 2.395
330- 6.711
1/8- 10.287
mph- 69.04
1000- 13.357
1/4- 15.924
mph- 89.14

Not bad. What's up with your RT? Did you redlight or is that the time after .5?

hmm.. he must have jumped the gun from the start... otherwise, I can't see how he'd make it into the 15's with hardly any mods. I mean I have more mods and less weight (no p/s or a/c, udp, cf hood, etc).. plus my 60ft time was better (2.295) and I only ran a 16.4 @ 83mph. My reaction time was fairly good too .692 (or .192 if you use the other method).

Anyone know anyone who can help me tune this in the Pittsburgh area (Greensburg)?

the reaction time doesn't figure into what u run the quarter in....his engine just must be a lil stronger or in better condition then urs.....or a lil less wieght....this just shows either he's lying or his car is faster then urs....nice run man...

no, i didnt red light it. i really dont know how to figure that out. a bunch of my runs that day had a r/t of .022-.025 and my buddies said it was pretty good. but, yeah.. i really just have and intake and exhaust and nothin else. i dont think taking my back seat out shaved any time at all. but, i did(for the first time) use the 93 octane gas and the octane booster. that might have helped???

Actualy octane booster does NOTHING more than 1 point or so. but it does clean your system from buildup.......unless making your own race fuel with lots of toluene...just stick to 93 if you have problems detonating with lower grade , btw without a Cam/higher compression higher octane will actualy not do much for our mild configuration engine...
