what's the best rpm to launch at with a studderbox? i haven't really played around with launching on the street for quite some time. i feel rusty an abandon Nash in the woods, and the track opens this friday.

that is DEFINITELY one of those things you're just going to have to experiment with...try where you normally launch, and drop 500-1k RPM's....then turn it up..

I *think* I used to have mine set at 4900 rpms to launch. If it bogs, bump it up and if if blows the tires off knock it down. I made changes in 100 rpm increments.

CM stage 4. 100's of passes at up to 25psi and never a single slip. Actually the clutch is in it's THIRD car right now.

I keep mine set on 3000 for 1 reason and 1 reason only... i get constant flames shooting out the exhaust and it sounds like a .308 emoji That's my way of "throwing on the flashers" emoji hehe

Hahaha! That's exactly what I do. I launch really well at 3k with the slicks on. I just tested it on the street tho.

Why are you guys throwing flames? I had mine set at 5500 and it didn't sound any louder than the exhaust normally does at 5500.

Super20G, I know your car is hopped up to high hell, but what is causing the flames and loud sounds?

I think it's mostly because of my EIC starting to add fuel.
