I have a '95 eclipse with performance plugs and wires, aem cold air, and hks dragger style muffler.

I went to the track in Bristol, TN and I ran a 17.8 at 80 or 81 miles an hour. I thing is, is that one of my friends said that I bunny hopped it 3 times pulling out, and spun probably about 40ft or so. My reaction time was a .322.

This was my first time dragging on a tree. So, what do you guys think that my car would run if I got a better reaction time, and didn't bunny hop or spin a lot?

Maybe a low 17 with better traction and less wheel hop. Reaction time doesn't affect 1/4 mile.

please tell me you are a AUTO right. I though the stock eclipse 5-speed could pull mid-low 16's cuz i know a stock 5-speed venge can pull mid 16's but the autos pull mid 17's

my best time was 16.83 and that was bone stock with a 5 speed. I think your time should be around there.

i think auto you could run about 16.5 to 16.8. manual i'm pretty sure with a good launch you could run 15.9 to 16.4 cuz my best time with a manual.... first time at the track with a 1/4 tank of gas, a heavy invader wing, a short ram intake, and pro 1 catback... i ran a 15.9 and with stock tires. good luck next time out!
