Seems like power breaking in L or 2 is how most people launch their ATs but when you upshirt to drive do you have to let off the gas like a manual or not? Sorry if this is a stupid question, I was just curious. Thanks, Mike

No. Thats why they call them automatics. You also don't have to put it in L or 2. Just leave it in drive. You can turn the OD off though, you want be needing it by the time your at the end.

agreed, shifting manually is bad for the transmission, and will actually make you slower. your car knows when to shift much better than you do, and its not like you could make it shift later if doing it manually. just put it in drive, power brake, and go to WOT.
