My tips:
Find the rpm that works for you. I launch hiogher like 4500rpm, with the tires I'm using they can handle it, stockers I had to launch lower. Give the clutch a good slip, avoid wheel hop.
Go to the track with 1/4 tank of gas or less depending on how far you are from the track. Lighten the car up as much as possible.
Give your car a good check before you leave so you don't have a problem with tech inspection. Rules require a catch can not breathers, stuff like that. Depends on the track as to how strictly the rules will be enforced.
Most of all relax and enjoy, it's suppose to be fun.

To be fixed?: Head gasket... unless coolant reservoir is suppose to bubble, hmmmm.
