Well, i'm going to the track for the first time tomorrow. I've taken out the spare and all the crap in the back. Right now i have 18's with a 40 series tire. The stock tire is the same overall diameter because it has a higher sidewall tire. Even though the 18's and the stocks are the same height with their tires on, will the lighter stocks make a difference over using the 18's. Thanks for any input. I'll let yall know how i did when i get back.

I would defenitely suggest keeping the stock tires on and leaving the heavy rims and tires at home. Trust me, it does make a difference. Also try to make sure when you get to the drag strip you are VERY low on gas (the gas light should be on).

And remember, keep that wheelspin down on the launch. Good luck with your runs.

Alright, i must say i'm a bit dissapointed in myself. The car did well, but i didn't. It was my first time at a dragstrip, so i knew i wouldn't do to well. The first run, it was me and my friends in his Eclipse. It was his first time also. We staged, and then launched. I had some wheelspin, and some wheel hop, i knew that sucked. Well i smoked him bad. I ran a 10.842 @ 64.9mph with a .762 RT and a 2.583 60ft. He ran an 11.991 @ 62.48mph. The next run was also against the my friend and i lost with an 11.332 @ 56.68 due to missing 3rd gear. My next two runs were also hovering in the 11's. I let one of my better driving friends race it, and he got a 10.69. I figure i just need to keep the wheel spin down alot, and try to imporve my RT. Even though i didn't do well, and only won twice, it was alot of fun. I look forward to doing it again soon. Thanks guys.

What mods do u have on your car? YOu had me thinking for a sec how the hell can he pull that off till i realized you only posted your 1/8 times. What did u run in the 1/4?

those are definitely 1/8 mile times, look at the mph
