#1865, "Battery Relocation..."

Anybody know what the rules are regarding battery relocation so that I can run it at the dragstrip? I know that it needs to have a vent tube, an external cutoff, and to be properly bolted down. I am just curious what the regulations on bolting it down are. I would really like to get the battery out of the way from under the hood...

bolted down has to be to the body, you couldn't bolt to the fiberboard, that is if they even pay attention at inspection, at route 66 they are pretty lax.

Ooooooooh yeah, they are now super picky at NED, they were even checking to see that cars wouldn't start in gear with the clutch out. However, since there is no rule that says that a M/T car needs to have a functional clutch switch, we got a clarification sent to the techs from the director at New England Dragway.
I dunno when I will be up there next, but it will be once my new motor is in and all happy and cozy.
