#1818, "breakdown of my slips...better but still.."

got in 2 runs, they were better but my 60ft times are still bad..I NEED some help on this whole launching thing!!

1st
R/T 1.007
60 2.490
330 6.766
1/8 10.283
MPH 70.17
1000 13.307
1/4 15.841
MPH 90.42

2nd
R/T .868
60 2.492
330 6.782
1/8 10.304
MPH 70.05
1000 13.337
1/4 15.87
MPH 90.03

both times i launched at 3k..it was too low and bogged it, but the car is pulling like a SOB in the top end to make 15.8's..so if anyone out there would like to shed some light on me and give me some tips on the launches, I would GREATLY appreciate it.

well if your saying it boged down then jes rev it higher. you want them to spin a litte bit. but not too much. and dont drop the clutch. feather it. youl get a hang of it. what i do to practice my launches is when im at a red light i take off from idle.try not to bog the car. that gets you accuanted with he clutch. once you get good at taking off from an idle. then feathering the clutch will be easier. but thats jes how i did it. dun no if itl wurk for you.

EDIT: did that make any sence?

Are you turbo or spraying? 15.8 would be crazy for your 60ft if your a NT. Either way u can get your 60ft's down to a 2.2-2.3 you will easily be breaking 15.5. I launch around 3500rpm but I need a new clutch.

yes (don't take this the wrong way) but those are very good 1/4 mile times with those bad 60' times. More info on your mods will help us to help you out.

here are my mods and a reason why i got the good 1/4 times with the bad 60fts.

cai
greddy header
bored TB
UDP
apexi catback
centerforce clutch

and the main reason...the car was really stripped out..i'm talking all the panels, back seat, center console, passenger seat, spare tire and glove box....so the car really pulled hard in the top end...

damn I cant believe u aint spraying or turbo. If u brought your 60ft down to 2.2 like Todd or Jake you might have more of a factory freak then they got. Look out 15.5.

those are good runs for those mods with that 60' time. A better launch will easily get you into low 15.7s

and Dualgen, where do you keep getting this "factory freak" thing with my car? Maybe Jake's car, yes, but have you checked how many mods I have? Alot more than Jake for the same time! I'd say my engine is about average. the mods and launching/driving have brought those times down.

Damn. I'm jealous. 90 mph is a great trap speed especially for only those mods. I've got as much stuff as Todd and I run WAY slower. Must be those 2.8 60' times I have. hehe.
