Ok, I have a 99 Automatic Eclipse Gs with the Star stage two in it. I wanted to test my top sepped and I was doing good until I hit about 123mph and then my car acted like i slamed on the brakes, it threw me forward in the seat and I thought I had screwed my engine but then everything was fine..I hear our cars dont have the limiter on it so what the hell happened?

You probably bounced off of the fuel cut rev limiter. I believe its about 6500 rpms for an auto. We dont have any speed limiter. We are just rpm limited, and gear and wind drag is what really sets the top speed..

Sounds like you didn't have the O/D on. I think 123 is top speed without overdrive, so you may have hit the rev limiter. Check your rpm's, cuz you should be at like 5100 or 5400 rpm at 123 mph in overdrive.
