Well, I raced my cousins brand new 2002 4 door Grand Am GT. This was before I had my pully and motor mount inserts in and we was neck and neck the hole way. I think now I should have no prob beating him.

just check stats out on www.cars.com for the specifics, but off the top of my head a grand am (3.1L V6) should have 175hp stock, while grand prixs with the 3.4L engine will have about 185 hp, with the more common 3.8L engine (non supercharged) will have 200, supercharged will have 240hp. also, remember power to weight is what is important. Grand ams and Grand Prixs are not that light

grand am's weigh about as much as we do. Todd was correct on the HP ratgings, but they have some good low end torque that will be hard to beat off the line. Top end, you got em. Grand prixs are pretty heavy too, you should be able to take the 3.1 V6's with ease. Don't expect to take the 3.8 GP's or the GTP's though. With all the power bolt ons, you may be able to take the 3.8 GT's though..will be very close.

I know a guy with a GTP grand prix, and he runs 13's. Probably close to 12's now with N20. Pushing higher boost, pulley, exhaust, intake, and the nitrous. I think 400 HP.
