My friend has a Neon with the dohc engine , I want to race him in the 1/4 of mile , I habve a tanabe exhauts and a injen short ram intake , I have 18 with 225/40/18, he has intake and exhaust to , and he also rolls on 18 , so how can I beat him????

Get underdrive pulley, bored throttle body, and do some basic weight reduction. A cold air intake might help a little over the short ram. The neons are very close to us since they have the same engine, and 10 more hp, and about 200-300 less pounds than us...Thats about it until nitrous or turbo...And most of all- PRACTICE your launches!! An excellent driver in a slow car will have a greater advantage over a crappy driver in a faster car...esp in this case, since the 2 cars are so close in performance..

Dude, the R/T's are quick. Theyre not really all that close in performance. I've seen bone stock R/T's pulling mid 15's, and with an intake and exhaust, running low 15's. Good luck, cause theyre pretty peppy.
91 awd: 60-1, 880's, E-Prom, etc. 93 awd: JDM 6 bolt, K&N, full exhaust, Wally 255, otherwise stock.

Well, I did pull away from a 4 door R/T at the drag strip, so it can be done.
Also, if he's going to be foolish enough to run on 18s when he races, put your 14 inch alloys back on. That will make a big difference, you'll probably beat him just because of the rims and tires.
