the hatch cover flap thing behind the seats and below the window? not the cardboard thing where your spare is but the 'snap in' piece that has strings that connect to the hatch for when you open it, it lifts up.

like this:

would that sound good? you would probably have to make your own, flat surfaced piece but what do you think?

i think it would sound pretty good bouncing off of the angled, curved glass. but i'm no audio guy.

whatta ya think?

i was thinking, if the subs just hung down from there would it sound like shit becuase the air cannot be compressed enough? i have no idea.

or make an entire box to 'hang down' from there. eah, that would look pretty gay. i dunno.

You would need to buy some free-air subs then it would sound good. I would still find a way to reinforce that because im sure that board will snap out of the clips on the seats on the first bump you go over with 30lbs of subs hangin on it.

^^what he said.

i really like the sound of infinate baffle subs, but they arent that loud and its hard to find subs made to perform well in those applications. also, the work involved to seal and secure the top piece to the trunk (it has to be completely sealed around the lip) is as much work (or more) than making a box.

:shhh: i do cocaine :/shhh:

You could do what they said or make a fiberglassed enclosure under the deck board so that it would be enclosed but the problem with that is the weight of the deck with two subs and an enclosed box hanging from it the shocks that hold the hatch up wouldn't be able to hold it up unless if you put different shocks on. cool idea though
