So I got rid of my system in order to get some cash. Meanwhile I'm trying to get the factory premium sound system to work in my car. Now I need help wiring an aftermarket amp to it. Since the headunit is not self amplified.. There is no way around this. Ok This is what I'm getting

I'm using that in order to make rca outs from the headunit to an aftermarket amp. Or you can use it for vice versa.. Using the stock amp on an aftermarket hedunit

That is the amp I will be using. I am going to mount it underneath of the passengers seat where the factory amp would have been. It is a 4 channel amp.

I am going to use the wires underneath of my seat. Now since there are 4 channels I would be doing FR FL, RR RL, Now how would I go about wiring the speakers from the harness underneath of the passengers seat into the amp? I mean typically you would just take the wire from the speaker and run it strait to amp, but its quite different now. Is there anyway I can do this without having to manually re-run wires from the stock speakers to the amp? I know this is alot to swallow so I'm really looking for a response from some experts like Amiller and Josh

IMO I would just run new wires, our cars are small so it doesn't take too long to run wires to all 4 speakers. Probably would get a little better sound quality than using the stock wiring also (I think). Then if you decide to do some upgrades to the stock speakers (again) it would already be done.

ok...lest see if ive got this right:

you are using the DIN adaptor (the first link) to output the signal from the stock headunit to the amp via RCAs. then, you need to splice into the stock speaker wires to run the speakers off of the clarion amp. is that right? unfortunatly, i dont have any real experience with the stock premium systems, but ill tell you how i would do it:

1) make sure the amp is outputting sound. hook up the 12v+/ground/remote/RCAs (from the adapter) to the amp, and use a test speaker (just pull one from your home system or computer) to check that there is, in fact, sound being amplified and produced from the amp. check all the channels.

although the vehical is different, the concept is still the same. i havnt been able to find a comprehensive wiring diagram of the stock amp outputs, so you will have to test all the wires to figure it out. as stated in the post i refered you too, take a 9v battery and test all the wires until you get to a combination that moves one of the speakers. if the speaker pops "out", then you know that the wire hooked up to the + on the battery is the + speaker wire, and same goes for the negative. if the speaker goes "in", then the wires just have to be reversed. dont leave the battery on each speaker for more than 5 seconds or so. once you find out what wires go to each speaker, just connect them to the amp like you normally would.

theres a lot that will go into this install. you will have to pull all of the panels covering the speakers to make sure you have the polarity (+ and - in the right place) correct.

edit: what are you doing about the remote turn-on? from what i can tell, the power antenna only works when the radio is on, so youll only get sound from the amp with the radio.

Thanks much Josh.. Look at that first link again, you'll see a blue wire that comes off of that plug.. That is a remote turn on.

When I get some more cash I plan to do this.. Rite now I'm just trying to get sound so I got the stock infinity amp, and I'll later get Infinity components. How are the Infinity components.. Anyone recomend them? I'd like the whole system to flow with Infinity.
