My car originally came with the 5.5" pods but I soon bought 6x9 pods and put some nice new 6x9 in there. I go to bolt em in and to my complete bewilderment, That shit didnt fit. This was 1.5 years ago. no on e had an answer then so I thought I'd wait aa while to ask again... Well what I mean by they didnt fit is that the magnet on the back hit the wall and didn't even allow me to put the pod against the body. what model and brand 6x9's do you guys have in the rear? The ones I had werent even deep, they were kappa's. WTF.

I had some cheapass alpine type s in there, fits just fine if you use the spacer that comes with them. I took them out, made a plate for 6 3/4" and put some pioneer rev series in there now, much better imo.

I put in the Pioneers and had to modify the hell out of the 5.5" Pods. They sit well under the factory panels and they sound really good with matching Pioneer 5.5" in the doors, stock minis in the dash and a DEH-4600 Head unit. Factory stereo died badly!

I have some really cheap sony xplod ones in there now and they fit fine. I'm going to be swapping them out when I get my 4 chan amp for a pair of MB Quarts, which will also fit. I think any fill fit, you might just have to work it a little.
