#972, "Finally got a system"

My audio setup just took a big step. Got my first amp/sub/box.

I got a JBL BP300.1 amp, Lightning Audio 400W 10" sub, and a sealed box. It sounds DAMN good and got it all for roughly $320. Now my current setup consists of ...

Pioneer DEH-6000 head unit
6 1/2" 2-way RF in the front
6 1/2" 2-way RF in the rear
Some sound deadening material in the trunk area
and the above setup for the sub.

Thanks to ImNotWhoIAm, Shogun98RS, DarkOne for braving the elements and helping me install it.

I'm thinking about getting an amp to push my speakers now. Any suggestions on what to get ... on a budget?

I paid $199 for a 4 channel Alpine 25wX4. I wish I had spent an addition $100 on it and had more wattage.

Yeah, considering rf's best guy went to mtxcouple years back, i'd say they have taken a turn for the better. good 4 channel mtx is 399, 75x4, birth certificate always test out around 85-95 though, good power for components or just coaxials.

Well, I've got this problem now ... everything else just sounds kinda flat now compared to sitting in my car and listening to music. Either I listen to in on my home stereo (component system roughly $800) or in my car. Everywhere else I listen to music just sounds like crap. ESPECIALLY the crappy speakers on my computer at work. It sounds so weak. Oh well could be worse. Love that system (probably just as good as a good go fast mod because it increases the level of enjoyment so much).

go on ebay and find yourself a used MTX 4320, and you'll thank me later. gobs of power and you should be able to get it in the 200ish range. and I know what you mean about speakers, I hate selling anything because people are like, "so do these sound good", and I'm like..... "yeah....they're great" laughing somewhere in the back of my mind. same thing with computer speakers, go audition a set of Klipcsh Promedia 2.1s or 4.1/2's or the new 5.1's(drooling). I've had my 2.1s for almost a year and they are worth every penny.
