#9697, "anyone done this?"

I have just recently looked into this but cant find much info(search button), and it seems to be a pretty cool idea, IF IT WILL WORK. For the first time I road in my friends 3g eclipse, its nice, but one thing i noticed id that his cd player has a 4 disc changer built into it. so its like a double din or whaver. anyways i was wondering if anyone has put a 3g cd player in there 2g? it plays burnt cd's but not mp3's. the only thing i see wrong is there is a remote LCD display in the dash that shows what cd is being played and what song. im guessing you could swap that out though also and mount it somewhere. anyways. any idea?

if there are no external (stock) amps or gadgets..it should be easy. just match up the wires and solder. as for the seperate LCD screen...ive never seen one, but i think it should just be a matter of cutting/soldering.

im not sure why you would want to do this though...it seems better to just buy an aftermarket unit.

:shhh: i do cocaine :/shhh:

yea i understand with aftermarket cd player. the only plus side i see to is that its in-dash 4 cd changer, and the LCD screen remotely mounted i think would be cool. i dono i need to start screwing around with this stuff again.

why not just get an MP3 player? fancier, sounds nicer, looks better, holds more songs, no time between switching CDs...
