Well, truthfully, i'm more interested in upgrading my engine and being a speed demon, but I'd like to be well rounded.
Are there any basic setups that you guys have done or equipment you guys that have bought that sound clean, but not too expensive?
I just wanna be able to go somewhere and show off, and not have people shoot me looks for playing loud music on a stock system.
I don't know anything about audio stuff, so i'm not even gonna try to describe what i would want.. I just know i want it to sound clean.. and not stock.

yeah it really depends on the cash. But to start off, i would get a good set of componets for the front. Put those in the doors, and if you have the speakers in the dash, maybe some tweeters up there. Replace the stock radio if you have the cash, and use an amp to the componet set. This is a good place to start, and maybe add a small sub and amp to fill out the bass. You could get a 4 channel amp and use 2 for the fronts, and the other 2 channels for the sub, assuming you can bridge the 2 channels into 1, or just get a dual voice coil subwoofer. I would definately replace the stock speakers first before anything, good sound starts with good speakers...

well if you wanna show off you need to have good stuff, because others that aren't spending all that money on speed for their explorers are gonna have better systems.
