#9389, "Eclipse Speakers"

Hey, I just bought an Eclipse(fujitsu ten) 5443 headunit. I got it for 170 shippe and he said the ESN wasn't activated yet. If anyone has had any experience with it let me know.
Also, I think Im about to buy some Eclipse Point Source 6.5" speakers for 95 shipped. Is that a good deal? they are used but the pictures make them look really good still. And i have about 85 bucks left that i'd like to spend towards some 6x9's.
If anyone has used an eclipse eq let me know too.

Having Problems? Heres my Three step solution to anything 2gnt related.
Step 1: Put down everything in your hands.
Step 2: Grab a lucky strike, Smoke it.
Step 3: Walk to the fridge, double fist some keystone ice, sit down in the shade, drink one beer, finish cigarette, drink other beer, roll a joint, smoke it, walk back to your problem, and in about 5 minutes the solution will come to you.
If not. Go here: here

If still nothing, your trying to hard. Start over at step 1.

I havent activated my ESN yet either. It sets up a cd key that can be used to lock and unlock your unit. when locked, unit cannot be used. i beleive u are only saving 25 - 30 dollars on those 6.5 point source speakers. If it were me id just get them new. The point source 6X9's run for about 150 new. They sound very good IMO. I have an alpine eq that just needs a wiring harness, not that hard to buy.

I put 6.5s in my 6x9 spots back there. Just make a lil adapter panel that will bolt up to 6x9 holes, and cut your hole out for the the 5x7s. I used some 1/4 inch mdf, but anything 1/4 or less would work, i put some fatmat on the underside and painted mine black. works great and sounds good.

The 6X9s that were in my buddies buick had good bass responce, my 6 1/2s (they are jl's top line) are ok, they do their job. eclipse speakers in my opinion are one of the best sounding coaxials. I think u will be happy with whichever size u choose.

2 Eclipse Aluminum Subs in custom enclosure (MDF):

Last year I ran SQ all year with the 5.5 component set from Eclipse, and won a National Championship with them. I'd suggest only component sets in the front and 6x9's in the rear. If you dont want to modify your rear panels to make the 6x9's fit, run the 5x7's. Eclipse units, amps, subs, ect are all awesome pieces of equiptment.

Point source just lack size and power. They are just fine if you want to use them, and they are just for rear fill anyway... dosnt need to be top of the line.
