#8965, "I was given a free Clarion AutoPC.....should I use it or ebay it?"
My boss has had a Clarion AutoPC he won at a technology show under his desk for about 3 years now. After bugging him all this time for it he finally gave it to me. I know when it was new it retailed for around $1300. I currently have a Pioneer DEH-P6400 HU. Anyone ever use one of these AutoPC's? I'm thinking about installing it, but then again it's never been opened and could probably get a few hundred off of ebay for it. I don't think it plays mp3's which sucks, but it does have this cool Carport feature you can by where it interfaces with OBDII and can read all the engine codes. I've seen the Carport things sell on ebay for around $40.
What should I do?

DAMN, i havent seen one of those things in a long time! i remember the first reveiw of it when it came out back in (i think) 98, and i almost bust a nut right then and there, lol. why not try it for a while? it only takes 15 minutes to swap decks out. that way at least if you sell it you can say its been tested. my inclination would be keep it.

d'oh, $80 on ebay? I saw a few that had a buy it now for $400 so I thought I'd be able to get at least $200. I'll probably just install it. Too bad he didn't give it to me 3 years ago when he first got it. He kept saying he was going to give it away in a contest but never did.
Got a question then, my deck was already installed in my car when I got it so I don't have those "key" things that are used to take it out. Any idea where I could get them for my Pioneer?
