#8852, "The System Is In!!! (56K Warning)"

Just put my system in this weekend and took some photos of me and my friends car today at the park. The system is excellent.. 2 Alpine 10" Type R's on an Alpine MRD-M500 Mono Amp. The Bass is insane crisp and clear. I am using stock speakers and the vocals are clear at higest volume. The headunit is a Pioneer DEH-8500MP. It's crazy that some people were saying I would need 2 of the amps I have for it to sound good.

An additional amp would be required if you wanted to change your speakers to components. I hope you still use your hatch cover over that audio.

I did have the hatch cover on there but I took it off! It bothers me.. And if someone wants to be dumb enough and steal my shit let them. I got an alarm (which I know wont stop them) But the kids around here are to dumb to break into my car and be able to get it out. If it gets stolen.. O'well.. I have full coverage.

I got nothing against you, but be careful! That's what I thought to... shit happens! Looks clean though! Maybe you can come up with an idea to bolt that box down or something?

Just a thought, but it's not the best idea to have the amp mounted directly on the box, but looks clean.

I have looked around and read about mounting the amp to the box and most say that it is perfectly safe. Vibrations on the box are minimal and the amp is alright. Most of the vibrations are grounded to the trunk. Not sure if anyone has bad experiences with mounting the amp to the box.

^^^you wont have a problem. i have read of very VERY few cases of amps being broken that way, but you would need a ton of power and a poorly-built box to even present the possibility.
