when i first read this question, i though "wow, this will be easy to answer", but in searching, i cant find SHIT!!! alpine has to have one of the worst audio websites ive seen. i even did a ton of searches at www.sounddomain.com and couldnt find any info. i can give some advice though:

1) 1 cubic foot=1728 cubic inches, so when you get the cubic foot recommendation and need to transfer that to inch measurements, use that number....ive memorized it, lol.

2) find the depth needed first, remembering that there should be a couple inches left befind the depth of the speaker to allow for cooling. once youve done that, you can expriment w/ the height and width to get the right numbers.

3) when constructing a box, make sure it is WELL sealed. use some silicon on the inside seams of the box, and wood-glue on all the attached pieces.

ill add more later if you want, but good luck finding those specs. typically a 10" sounds the best (assuming you are going w/ a sealed enclosure, probably your best bet as far as ease of construction goes) in around .75 cubic feet of air.

:shhh: i do cocaine :/shhh:

Yes I was going to do a sealed box. Rumor is Alpine Type R's sound the best in sealed boxes.
