#843, "Audio Question"

I'm looking for a cheap amp under $150 to drive my sub. I could get an Orion cobalt amp with 260 watts or Crunch amp with 800 watts..Do you guys think i should get the one with high wattage or should i go with the quality amp with lesser wattage? thanks for any help!!

Go with the Orion, the power output is prob the same between amps, and the orion is much better quality. Crunch tends to over-rate their amps a bit, that 800 watts is prob full of distortion. Trust me, buy quality audio componets! I have wasted sooo much money on crap like 600 watt amps for 100 bucks and stuff. You always get what u pay for....

if you do a little looking, you can find some of the old orion xtr amps or the older sx amps. they were serious powerhouses that can be had very cheaply....

if you're set between the two...obviously get the orion..
